Energize has a very positive, welcoming, friendly, open-minded wonderful community of teachers, students and staff. Energize has many very experienced and well-trained instructors who have been teaching for 7 up to 21 years. When you walk into Energize, you will feel happy, motivated and right at home.

Where can I find you on your day off? In another country, at the gym, or enjoying some quality time with the people I love the most.

Creating an inviting, welcoming and genuine space is such a crucial part to make sure everyone who wanders in feels like family. Where can I find you on your day off? You can most likely find me hiking Taylor Mountain, walking Spring Lake with my kids or at the river with my kids (weather permitting) OR ideally at a Warriors game ☺️🏀

Tell me about your training: I graduated Bikram 9 week training at the old headquarters in LA summer training 2004. I did the IHP training with Gabby at Petaluma Yoga Hell in September 2021.

What is a fun/random fact about you? I lived in Taiwan for awhile when I was 15 years old and taught English and studied Mandarin (with my professor Aunt who taught at a university there), I have 5 kids and I love to bake, especially cheesecakes 😋

What is a fun/random fact about you? I’ve broken my ankles 5x, I beat cancer, I own 13 cats, I have an art degree and writing degree and I’m a sci-fi geek.

Where can I find you on your day off? I’m retired! So- In a yoga class (!), doing other exercise, engaging with friends, 3 adult children & 2 grandchildren (long distance), taking care of my home and spiritual life

Tell me about your training: I did an 8 week training with Evolation Yoga in 2016, (following practicing Bikram yoga since 2001 at our current studio)

What is a fun/random fact about you? I’ve hiked to the top of Half Dome 6 times- Woohoo!!

What is a fun/random fact about you? I was drawn to yoga, at a very young age, as a way to heal my body from a devastating ballet injury. Every morning I diligently set my alarm to catch “Lilia’s, Yoga and You” on PBS, sooner than expected, my injuries healed and I gratefully returned to ballet.

What is a fun/random fact about you? I spent my twenties bouncing between school, the music industry and disaster-relief. I’m also a New Zealand citizen!

Where can I find you on your day off? Most likely outside! Playing in the garden, running or doing community work! When its cold or rainy, I am usually elbow deep in some creative project (crochet, graphic design, home renovation) with a cup of coffee in hand.

What is a fun/random fact about you? I rarely sit down- I am a total busy body- avid multitasker. I am also an ultra runner and truly feel that your body can do anything your mind believe it can do. This is why I encourage others to believe in themselves because we are capable of more than we give ourselves credit for- in pilates class, on the trail and in life.

Where can I find you on your day off? Besides dancing and moving my body- volunteering, reading books and taking long hikes…or maybe… doing all the laundry from the Power Flow and IHP classes I take/teach at Energize.

What is a fun/random fact about you? I have always chosen activities where I get to wear cute outfits. I taught myself aerial silks in a play once and ended up performing my sequence. I don’t read the Bell Jar for fun, but I do believe I can change the world.

Where can I find you on your day off? Taking classes at Energize, spending time with friends, camping, dancing, taking my pup to the beach, making playlists for my classes. Last, but certainly not least, vegging out.

What is a fun/random fact about you? I love the smell of gasoline and nail polish. I also love watching birds playing in the mud- I call them “Muck Birds”. Bubbles are never not magical and I have been Sporty Spice for two different Halloweens- once when I was 8 and once when I was 21… and now I get to live the Sporty Spice dream at 35!

What do you love most about the Energize community? Getting to be a part of this fabulous community! Everyone is welcoming, warm, supportive, and fun to hang out with!

Where can I find you on your day off? If you don’t see me behind the front desk, or taking class, then I’m either teaching High School English, hanging out with my three sons, OR hopefully I’m traveling somewhere awesome.

What is a fun/random fact about you? I’ve been to 20 countries so far and counting!

What do you love most about the Energize community? I love the energize community and camaraderie. Our classes are incredibly difficult but nothing pushes me harder than knowing I have a whole group of people struggling with me. I’m so grateful for all the connections and friendships I have made in this studio.

Where can I find you on your day off? You will find me with my dog, Peter Pan. We love to hike and then after we are cuddled up watching cartoons or anime. If it’s a full moon you can find me in the woods charging crystals and basking in the moonlight.

What is a fun/random fact about you? I prefer the nighttime, I love stargazing.

What do you love most about the Energize community? Coming to work feels like coming home and the community and the staff feel like family.

Where can I find you on your day off? Either in class, reading a book or hanging out with my dog.

What is a fun/random fact about you? I lived in Hawaii with my dog for two years.

What do you love most about the Energize community? Energize brings a delightful spark to my everyday life thanks to a community that radiates immense respect, humbleness, and inclusivity. The communal support and care constant at Energize is truly enriching, creating an atmosphere where everyone feels valued and uplifted.

Where can I find you on your day off? My day off usually involves relaxing with a captivating book while my cats playfully strike yoga poses around me, or I'm at my computer researching or working on the latest and greatest random project.

What is a fun/random fact about you? I cannot watch a movie or TV series without multi-tasking. No matter how hard I try I always end up doing something simultaneously like when I'm doing homework, painting, running, and most commonly while I'm doing my laundry and cleaning. It's a perfect pairing for efficiency and enjoyment!
